GPIO Sensor Extension Board for Raspberry Pico Shield
The Raspberry Pi Pico GPIO Expansion Board is a convenient accessory that enables easy access to all pins and power of the Raspberry Pi Pico. This board comes with clearly labeled male and female headers, which make it easy to connect to your project. Additionally, the board features mounting holes that allow for secure installation.
It’s important to note that the expansion board power 7-12V DC input, which supplies 5V to the Pico, the VSYS pin, and the 5V rail at the bottom right-hand corner. The Pico’s onboard voltage regulator then provides a 3.3V supply to the 3.3V rail (bottom right-hand corner) and the other red pins. If no Pico is plugged in, there will be no 3.3V supply. To use this expansion board, your Pico will need to have male headers soldered to it.
If you don’t have the tools or expertise to solder headers, you may want to consider purchasing the optional PICO W variant, which comes with pre-soldered headers.
