Triple Potentiometer Control System
This buck converter features three precision potentiometers for complete control over voltage and current parameters. Turning clockwise increases, and anticlockwise decreases. Sometimes to activate the converter 20+ turns are needed.
Potentiometer 1 (P1) – Voltage Adjustment: Continuously adjustable output voltage from 1.25V to 30V, allowing precise voltage regulation for your specific application requirements.
Potentiometer 2 (P2) – Charging Cut-off Control: When charging batteries, this potentiometer adjusts the current threshold at which charging automatically stops. For example, when a battery reaches full charge, the current drawn from the buck converter drops significantly. With P2, you can set the cut-off current to stop feeding the battery, preventing overcharging.
Potentiometer 3 (P3) – Current Adjustment: Sets the maximum output current up to 2.5A. This is essential for LED applications where excessive current flow can cause overheating and damage. LEDs are sensitive to current limits, and exceeding manufacturer specifications leads to reduced lifespan or complete failure. By limiting the current with P3, you ensure safe operation within the LED’s rated parameters.
