LilyPad Arduino Compatible 328 Main Board — ATmega328P

This LilyPad Arduino-compatible board runs an ATmega328P at 8MHz on a 3.3V supply, sewable into fabric or mounted flat in wearable projects where a standard rectangular Arduino board would be impractical. The circular 50mm form factor has 14 large sew tabs around the edge — each connected to a labelled GPIO pin — and can be programmed directly via CH340G USB-to-TTL adapter or through the ISP header for bootloader flashing.

How do you program the LilyPad board?

Select Arduino LilyPad or LilyPad Arduino USB in the Arduino IDE board menu. Upload via a CH340G FTDI adapter connected to the TX, RX, GND, and VCC pads — this board has no onboard USB. Alternatively, flash the bootloader or a sketch directly through the ISP header using a USBasp or an Arduino running ArduinoISP.

Can conductive thread replace wires for connections?

Yes, that is the primary design intent. Each sew tab accommodates two or three passes of 2-ply or 3-ply conductive thread, which carries enough current for LEDs, small motors, and sensor signals. Keep thread paths from different tabs at least 5mm apart to prevent short circuits where threads cross.
