HDC1080 Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module — I2C High Precision
The HDC1080 from Texas Instruments measures temperature to +/-0.2°C accuracy and relative humidity to +/-2% RH over I2C, with a factory-calibrated sensor that requires no user calibration. It operates at 1.62V–3.6V, drawing as little as 110 nanoamps in sleep mode — making it suited for coin-cell-powered battery applications. The acquisition time for both temperature and humidity together is under 15ms, and both readings share a single I2C transaction at address 0x40.
- +/-0.2°C temperature accuracy — better than DHT22 (+/-0.5°C)
- +/-2% RH humidity accuracy — factory calibrated
- I2C interface — address 0x40
- 1.62V–3.6V supply — 110nA sleep current
- 14-bit resolution on both channels
