How does PN532 compare to the MFRC522?
The PN532 supports a wider range of card standards (including NFC Forum tags and FeliCa) and offers card emulation and peer-to-peer NFC modes that the MFRC522 lacks. The MFRC522 is simpler and better supported by basic Arduino libraries; the PN532 requires the Adafruit PN532 library but gives access to NFC features needed for mobile phone NFC interaction and NTAG writing.
