LM393 IR Flame Detection Sensor Module for Arduino
The flame sensor module detects IR light in the 760nm–1100nm wavelength range using a photodiode sensitive to the spectrum emitted by flames and candles. The LM393 comparator converts the photodiode current to a digital TTL output that goes LOW when flame IR is detected, with the detection threshold set by an onboard potentiometer. An analogue output provides the raw photodiode signal for intensity measurement via ADC.
