C210 is the fine end of the cartridge world. The heating element and the temperature sensor sit inside the tip itself, so it comes up to temperature in about two seconds and recovers instantly, but in a much slimmer body than a C245.
That slimness is the entire point. Under a microscope, on a dense board, working between tall components, a C245 tip is simply too big to get in. This is what you reach for then.

If you are buying one, take the K. A knife edge drags across a row of pins far better than a point, and it still handles single joints. The I is for when you genuinely need a point, and the SI is for when the board is in the way.
Is This the Same as JBC?
These are C210-compatible cartridges, not JBC-branded parts, and the distinction matters so here it is plainly. C210 is a cartridge format: a specific physical size and a specific electrical arrangement, with the heating element and the thermocouple built into the tip. Any handle or station designed for T210 cartridges takes them.
What you are buying is the same design principle at a fraction of the price. What you are not buying is JBC build quality or JBC support. Plenty of people run compatible cartridges for everyday work and keep a genuine one for the jobs that matter, which is a perfectly sensible way to do it.

Making Them Last
- Brass wool, not a wet sponge. Wipe at 250 to 300°C. A wet sponge thermal-shocks a cartridge every time.
- Re-tin straight after cleaning. Fresh solder is what protects the plating on a bare tip.
- Drop the temperature when you pause. Sitting at full heat is the fastest way to wear a cartridge out.
- No abrasives, no chemical cleaners. Both strip the plating, and once it is gone the tip is finished.
